Save this illustrated checklist (SVG)Begin with the service, not just the word junk
A request to remove junk can mean two different jobs. In customer-loaded rental, the business supplies and collects the bin while you or your own helpers load it. In a crew-loaded inquiry, people are needed to carry and load material. Say which of those you need at the beginning so the conversation is based on the correct work.
Describe the project in one sentence, such as a garage clearout, a flooring replacement or a moving-house disposal pile. Then name the important materials. General household contents, appliances and dense renovation debris should not be hidden inside a single phrase such as mixed rubbish. The supplier needs to review the actual material and the handling required before recommending equipment.
- Service: customer-loaded rental or separate carrying help.
- Project: the specific clearout or renovation task.
- Material: the main contents and unusual items.
- Loading: who will do the work and how.
Send useful photographs without unnecessary personal detail
A wide photograph of the disposal pile helps show overall volume. A second picture of the largest or longest item helps explain fit. An access photograph should show the proposed bin position and delivery approach. Avoid sending personal documents, faces or retained valuables when they are not relevant. You can describe sensitive contents without showing them.
The website does not upload photographs or submit a request to a server. It prepares a text draft that you review and send through your own app; you can discuss photos through that contact channel. Copying a draft or opening Messages is not a sent inquiry. If your app does not prefill the message, use the copy option or call the displayed number directly.
Give the access details that can change the plan
Provide your Orono location and explain the proposed position on the property. Mention shared driveways, gates, overhead obstacles, a sloped approach and vehicles that must remain accessible. Item dimensions help choose a profile, but bin dimensions do not establish the clearance needed by the delivery truck. Ask the business to review placement rather than promising that the container will fit.
Clarington says waste bins cannot be stored on the road. If your idea uses a boulevard or municipal right-of-way, obtain site-specific municipal advice instead of assuming it is available. Do not describe an intended public-space position as an approved location in the inquiry. Resolving this early can prevent a last-minute change when the property is already full of project material.
Ask what the published package means for your load
The confirmed package is $563.87 CAD including 13% Ontario HST for the 1 ton minimum. It includes seven days, delivery, pickup and fuel. Each additional ton is $226 including HST. The package is customer-loaded. No partial-ton billing rule, extension charge, cancellation term or material-specific allowance is invented on this checklist.
Ask which materials are accepted, what loading limits apply and what happens if the timing or contents change. Heavy debris, appliances and electronics need confirmation. Chemicals, hazardous materials and cinder blocks are excluded. Mention them separately if they are part of the wider project so their alternative disposal route can be planned. Do not add them because they were visible in a photograph that received a general reply.
Use this short starting message, then confirm the booking
A hypothetical inquiry could read: I am in Orono and need customer-loaded bin rental for a garage clearout. The pile is household storage and shelving; the longest piece is described in the attached photo. The bin could sit on our driveway, and we prefer these dates. Can you confirm suitable equipment, accepted material, loading limits and the package for this project? Adapt it to the facts rather than copying the example unchanged.
Call or text 289-356-0228 to begin. Preferred dates are not guaranteed availability, and a prepared message is not a reservation. Before work depends on the rental, confirm the delivery position, actual arrangements and the agreed material list directly with the business. Keep a record of that confirmation. You then have an actionable waste plan rather than only a displayed price and an unsent message.
Questions before you book
Does the website request tool book the bin automatically?
No. It prepares a draft for your own contact app. You must send or call, and the business must confirm the rental arrangement.
What details should I have ready when I call?
Have your Orono location, material list, largest-item measurements, placement description, loading plan and preferred dates ready. Identify unusual or heavy material first.
Compare all five bin profiles, review the rental price, check material acceptance and plan delivery access.
